Welcome to Careship Coorong
Careship Coorong is a social care farm for people living with dementia, those who feel lonely in the community or people with other social care needs.
Social care farming (also called therapeutic farming) is the therapeutic use of a working farm for social support. Our organisation provides this social support on a working free-range snail farm.
As a farm helper, we can help you (re) connect with your community by enabling you to be a part of our farm team. This provides a valuable role and shifts your role from someone in need of care to someone who helps the farmer. Working on the farm helps you gain self-esteem and make new friends. Your work is also valuable to the farmer and the community. Working outdoors within a friendly team improves health and well-being.
To book a free first visit to the farm you can use our registration form or email careship@internode.on.net
